OUR STORY

How Bless The Badge Began

Bless The Badge was founded by Chuck and Lisa Lerner with a simple but powerful vision: strengthen law enforcement marriages and families.

As they served officers and spouses, they recognized that the profession creates unique challenges that traditional relationship resources often fail to address. Long hours, stress, trauma exposure, hypervigilance, and emotional exhaustion were affecting relationships in ways few people understood.

Through years of chaplaincy, critical incident response, marriage coaching, and service within the law enforcement community, they became convinced that a more practical and profession-specific approach was needed.  That conviction led to the development of Tactical Relationship Training™, first introduced at a Bless The Badge conference in 2014.

What began as a small ministry has grown into a national movement serving law enforcement families through summits, cruises, retreats, coaching, leadership development, and community.

The vision remains the same: To equip law enforcement families to thrive, one family at a time.

Meet Ken & Wende

Carrying the Vision Forward

After serving 25 years in law enforcement, including surviving an officer-involved shooting and later working as a detective, Ken experienced firsthand how the profession affects officers and families.

Together, Ken and Wende became Tactical Relationship Training™ instructors and committed themselves to helping other law enforcement couples navigate the realities of the profession.

Today they lead Bless The Badge with the same vision that inspired its founding: Strengthening Those Who Serve.

Built By Experience. Focused On Families.

Our team is comprised of officers, spouses, clinicians, chaplains, and leaders who understand the realities of law enforcement life firsthand. Together, we bring decades of professional experience, hundreds of years of combined marriage experience, and a shared commitment to helping families thrive.

Because the strongest support often comes from people who understand the journey.
