Our Beliefs

  1. We believe there is one God, who is infinitely perfect, eternally existent in three persons—Father, Son, and Holy Spirit (Genesis 1:26, Matthew 3:16-17; Matthew 28:19).
  2. Jesus Christ is the true God and the true man. He was conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary. He died upon the cross, the Just for the unjust, as a perfect substitutionary sacrifice, and all who believe in Him are justified on the ground of His shed blood. He arose from the dead according to the Scriptures and will come again to establish His kingdom, righteousness and peace (Philippians 2:6-11; John 1:1; Luke 1:34-38; Hebrews 2:9; 1 Peter 3:18; 1 Corinthians 15:3-4; John 11:25; Mark 16:19; Acts 1:11; Revelation 19:11).
  3. We believe the Bible to be the inspired, infallible, authoritative, inerrant Word of God (2 Timothy 3:15-16; 2 Peter 1:20-21).
  4. We believe that salvation is the gift of God’s grace alone and is expressed in the individual’s repentance, recognition of Christ’s death as full payment for sin, and acceptance of the risen Christ as Savior. All who trust the Savior are forgiven of their sins and born into the family of God by the regenerating work of the Holy Spirit. Freedom from the penalty and power of sin is available only through Christ’s sacrificial death, His shed blood, and His complete and bodily resurrection from the dead. Those who do not believe in Christ are subject to everlasting punishment. Believers enjoy eternal life with God (John 1:12; John 3:16-19; John 5:24; Romans 10:9-10; Ephesians 1:7; 2:8-9; Titus 3:5).
  5. We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost: believers in Christ are saved unto the resurrection of life, and those who reject Jesus unto the resurrection of eternal damnation (John 5:28-29).
  6. We believe in the spiritual unity of believers in our Lord Jesus Christ (Romans 8:9; 1 Corinthians 12:12-13; Galatians 3:26-28).
  7. We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit, by whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a godly life (Romans 8:13-14; 1 Corinthians 3:16; 6:19-20; Ephesians 4:30; 5:18).
  8. We believe that man was created directly by God and in His image for the reflection of His glory. We believe that God created the heavens and the earth, including all life (Genesis 1:1; John 1:3; Colossians 1:16-17).
  9. We believe that God created man and woman as unique biological persons designed to complete each other through marriage (Genesis 2:22-24).
  10. Bless The Badge Ministries is committed to a doctrine which supports the infallibility of scripture, that the Bible is the ultimate authority against which all evidence is examined. The ministry is Christ-centered.

Bless The Badge Ministries is a religious, non-profit organization representing Jesus Christ.

Bless The Badge Ministries requires its leadership to be born-again Christians, living their lives as Christian role models (Matthew 16:24; Ephesians 5:1-2; 1 Peter 2:20-22). Leaders will conduct themselves in a way that will not raise questions regarding their Christian testimonies. A Christian lifestyle should reflect the biblical perspective of integrity, appropriate personal and family relationships, business conduct and moral behavior. A leader is expected to demonstrate a teachable spirit, an ability to share love for others, a willingness to live contentedly under authority, and a commitment to follow the Matthew 18 principle when an issue arises with fellow leaders and team members.

Bless The Badge Ministries expects leaders to maintain a lifestyle based on biblical standards of moral conduct. Moral misconduct which violates the qualification for leaders to be Christian role models includes, but is not limited to, drunkenness, adultery, illegal drug use, promiscuity or homosexual behavior or any other violation of the unique roles of male and female (Romans 1:21-27, 1 Corinthians 6:9-20). Bless The Badge Ministries believes that biblical marriage is limited to a covenant relationship between a man and a woman.

Bless The Badge Ministries’ leaders will maintain a lifestyle based on biblical standards of conduct. Failure to do so results in the dismissal/resignation/removal from the leadership of Bless The Badge Ministries. It is the goal of Bless The Badge Ministries that each leader will have a lifestyle that “is above reproach…and appear as lights in the world” (Philippians 2:15).

    Event Cost and Attendance Policy

    Purpose
This policy ensures that all Bless The Badge Ministries (BTBM) events are financially responsible, mission-aligned, and accountable to stakeholders. It provides guidance on budgeting, attendance expectations, per-person costs, program-specific justifications, funding verification, and travel planning.

    Applicability
This policy applies to all State Ambassadors, Event Coordinators, and all other volunteers.

    Guiding Principles

All event planning decisions must consider the following principles:

    1. Financial Stewardship to the Lord: All funds must be used wisely, intentionally, and faithfully, ensuring expenditures reflect responsible stewardship of ministry resources.
    2. IRS Fiscal Responsibility: Events must directly advance the charitable/religious mission (not provide perks for insiders); be reasonable under the circumstances (costs are not excessive compared to the value provided); be properly documented (budget, receipts, attendance, and clearly stated purpose).
    3. Accountability to Sponsors: Event planning and budgeting must honor sponsor commitments, ensuring contributions deliver expected advertising value and mission alignment.

    Per-Person Cost Benchmarks (IRS Guidance)

    • Under $100: Standard benchmark for all tiers; considered reasonable for IRS purposes.
    • Over $100: Requires policy exception as below.

    Event Tiers and Budgets

Events must select a tier based on anticipated attendance and available funding.

    • Tier 0 | $2,500 | 2 Speakers | Minimum Attendees = 25 | Minimum Registrations = 50
    • Tier 1 | $4,500 | 4 Speakers | Minimum Attendees = 45 | Minimum Registrations = 90
    • Tier 2 | $6,250 | 6 Speakers | Minimum Attendees = 60 | Minimum Registrations = 120
    • Tier 3 | $8,000 | 8 Speakers | Minimum Attendees = 80 | Minimum Registrations = 160

If anticipated attendance falls below thresholds, the event will be scaled down or rescheduled.

    Timeline

    • 90+ Days Before: All funding for the selected tier budget must be received. Open registration, draft budget, confirm speaker tier.
    • 60+ Days Before: Registration must reach double the minimum expected attendance. If not, travel will not be booked - reassess tier.
    • 30 Days Before: Final go/no-go decision. If minimum confirmed attendance is not met, scale down or postpone.
    • Event Week: Execute event, track attendance, collect evaluations.
    • Post-Event (within 14 days): Report on attendance, calculate cost per participant, follow up with donors and sponsors.

    Policy Exceptions

A justification explains why an event’s cost per person doesn't meet the benchmark and/or requires special consideration. Examples include:

    1. Train-the-Trainer Programs: Specialized instruction to equip certain participants to teach others.
    2. Contracted Workshops with Departments or Organizations: External groups manage marketing, registration, and attendance.
    3. Coaching-Intensive Workshops: Programs requiring specialized facilitators or materials for mental health or relationship outcomes.
    4. Pilot Programs or New Initiatives: Early-stage events testing new curricula or approaches.
    5. Local TRT Instructors: When sufficient funding is available and certified local TRT Instructors are accessible, up to $100 per adult participant may be allocated toward full-day event costs, based on 50% of registered adults who are not BTBM team members or volunteers. The first $140 must be allocated to event insurance before any other funds are spent.

    Documentation must include:

    • Explanation of why standard budget and benchmarks aren't sufficient.
    • Expected impact or outcomes of the event.
    • Confirmation of any external cost-sharing, sponsorship, or participant support.

Exceptions may proceed outside of thresholds with:

    1. Written justification from a member of BTBM leadership.
    2. Approval from the Executive Leadership Team.

All members of the Bless The Badge Ministries board, leadership and volunteer team agree to this Event Cost and Attendance Policy via electronic signature.

    Leadership Service Policy

    Purpose

To establish how leadership appointments, annual renewals, temporary pauses, and transitions are managed within Bless The Badge Ministries (BTBM).

    Policy

Leadership positions within BTBM are volunteer appointments made by the Executive Directors. Appointments are made based on ministry needs, qualifications, and alignment with the mission, vision, and values of the organization.

    Annual Renewal

    Leadership appointments are reviewed annually.

Each October-November, leadership couples will be invited to renew their commitment for the upcoming ministry year by:

    • Confirming their desire to continue serving.
    • Committing to at least one summit they will lead during the upcoming year, including the anticipated date and location.
    • Reaffirming applicable ministry policies and expectations.

Leadership couples whose appointments are renewed will be invited to participate in the Annual Leadership Retreat, typically held between February and April.

    Compassionate Pause

When extraordinary circumstances arise, the Executive Directors may approve a temporary Compassionate Pause to allow a leadership couple to focus on personal healing and family wellbeing. Examples include the death of an immediate family member, a serious medical condition, a significant family or marital crisis, military deployment, or other exceptional circumstances.

A Compassionate Pause is generally intended to last 3-6 months, although the Executive Directors may adjust the duration based on the circumstances. During the pause, ministry responsibilities and access to ministry email, systems, meetings, communication groups, and other internal resources will be suspended. Ministry emails will be redirected to the Executive Directors.

The couple remains a valued part of the BTBM family throughout the pause. Before returning to active ministry, the couple will meet with the Executive Directors to discuss their readiness and the appropriate next steps. Return to active service is at the discretion of the Executive Directors and Board.

    Leadership Transitions

A leadership appointment may conclude through:

    • Annual non-renewal
    • Voluntary resignation
    • Compassionate Pause extending beyond the annual renewal process
    • Removal by the Executive Directors and Board when deemed necessary for the health, mission, or stewardship of the ministry

Former leaders are always welcome to remain part of the BTBM community, and future service may be considered as circumstances and ministry needs allow.

All members of the Bless The Badge Ministries leadership team agree to this Leadership Service Policy via electronic signature.
