To ensure a successful conference, here’s how you can get started:
- Select a Tentative Date: Check our event calendar; then email us with request for 30-day hold.
- Secure a Location: Confirm a law enforcement-friendly location; churches are most common. Ensure it's equipped with audio and video capabilities.
- Pursue Funding: Scroll down for conferences, or here are all offerings with pricing. Many have successfully engaged local businesses, organizations, and individuals who share a passion for supporting law enforcement families. Below is additional information about conferences.
- Begin Advertising: Once the date and location are confirmed, and funding received, registration will be opened!

Characteristics
A great Event Coordinator is someone who:
- Organizes and manages projects with exceptional attention to detail
- Communicates effectively and builds strong interpersonal relationships
- Manages fundraising through sponsors and/or donors to cover event expenses
- Handles situations professionally and solves problems effectively
- Supports law enforcement families passionately
- Commits to the BTBM vision and mission
- Relates to and demonstrates the BTBM values
Responsibilities
Required
- Establish leadership team (5-10 people)
- Brainstorm and pursue sponsors and donors
- Confirm conference venue with audio/video (AV) capabilities
- Arrange for day-of security and AV support
- Facilitate payments (online/mail)
- Promote the conference (ongoing)
Optional
- Secure funding for food (coffee, snacks, lunch)
- Arrange childcare (workers, rooms, activities, snacks)
- Obtain 10-15 door prizes (no more than 20)
- Plan 2-3 games for breaks
- Coordinate worship music for opening and/or closing
Notes
- Fundraising for Security + AV Professionals can be avoided with confirmed volunteers
- Optional Costs will increase for a combined group over 50 (participants, speakers, coordinators)
